A new safety expo dedicated to showcasing safety-related solutions, products and services took place on Thursday, 21 May 2015 in Kintore, Aberdeenshire.
The event, which was the first of its kind in the north-east, saw more than 85 QHSE professionals fill the AquaTerra training centre for the chance to access training providers, workwear and PPE suppliers, equipment demonstrations and safety literature specialists, all exhibiting under the one roof.
The 2015 Safety Expo was organised jointly by industry training specialist AquaTerra and safety print provider XIC. The organisers’ aim was to raise awareness of the breadth of safety-related expertise that exists in the north-east and encourage visitors to experience some of the products and services first-hand.
Exhibitors for the inaugural Safety Expo included training specialists AquaTerra Training and SAFER Training. Magicians and facilitators, Fifth Dimension, proved how magically enhanced training can help to get safety messages across. Safety equipment hire, sales and service company, Total Safety, conducted a series of demonstrations throughout the day, with workwear and PPE clothing samples available from Portwest. Advice on safety print literature and awareness campaigns were on offer from creative communications and safety print provider, XIC.
