AquaTerra Training regularly delivers bespoke, on-site training to meet specific, industry or business needs. On this occasion, the training was run on the client's quayside site in Sunderland over 2 days covering Work at Height Awareness and Rescue scenarios. Both elements of the training were conducted vertically from a carousel and horizontally from a restricted space on one of the ploughs using our own AquaTerra Rescue Kit (ARK), The ARK was required to be deployed horizontally through 90 degrees with rope and edge protection in order to rescue a non responsive, unconscious casualty to a safe area. The drill went extremely well and highlighted the diversity of the ARK system for both accessible and inaccessible anchor points and casualties.
Various options were presented to the client in relation to safe working practices at height and these options were the practiced by the candidates on the day.
