Offshore Cable Mounting Contract on New Build Wind Farm
This wind farm, in the North Sea, is known as the biggest and most remote offshore wind farm cluster project in the world. The power generated will, for the first time in wind power history, be the longest HDVC connection between an offshore wind farm and onshore electricity grid and will be transmitted by ABB HVDC light, which is a high voltage direct current transmission system enabling long distance power transport with minimum loss.
As a selected supplier for specialist access solutions, AquaTerra Solutions was chosen to mount cables on the outside of the platform through the use of rope access systems.
