AquaTerra Strengthens Training Provision with New Appointment

AquaTerra Solutions (AquaTerra), the Aberdeen-based supplier of work at height and rope access related services, today announces the appointment of Jim Walker as Senior Instructor. Coming from a long standing career with Grampian Fire and Rescue Service, Jim's skills are key to the continued growth of the company allowing AquaTerra to further develop the diverse range of training courses on offer. Jim holds both A1 Assessor and V1 Verifier qualifications allowing him to assess and train others in achieving their A1 Competence Assessment certificate.

 

Mark Pearce, Training Services Director at AquaTerra, says, "Having extensive experience in emergency response and rescue, Jim's expertise will facilitate the progression of our training services. The number and spread of clients continues to expand across several industry sectors, not just oil and gas. We see considerable potential for training business in the future and we will continue to add further courses and services to our portfolio."

Joining AquaTerra after holding several managerial posts within the Grampian Fire and Rescue Service, Jim's career to date has involved in developing courses at the Fire Training Centres in Portlethen and the Fire Service College which saw him placed in various locations including Qatar, Dubai and Kuwait.

 

Jim says, "I'm looking forward to working with the team at AquaTerra and challenging myself further in this new role. I feel that my skill set is a great fit with the company, and I hope to continue the high standard of training AquaTerra is renowned for."

 

AquaTerra Solutions is an Aberdeen-based company that specialises in work at height and rope access related services including NDT/Inspection, maintenance and construction services; work at height and rescue training; and work and rescue equipment supply.
