Working to Make Our Industry a Safer Place
In an effort to continually promote safety in the workplace, AquaTerra Solutions has joined the Dropped Objects Prevention Scheme (DROPS).
Through DROPS members meet regularly to discuss and review lessons learned and new technologies, with all contributing to the development of tools and guidance to support the campaign.
By joining the scheme, AquaTerra aims to further enforce its commitment to reduce potential harm and the near misses caused by one of the oil and gas industry's most frequent sources of high severity incidents.
AquaTerra's service offerings include Dropped Object Surveys and personnel are trained to DROPS standards, working in accordance with the organisations guidelines and best practice. Joining the campaign forms part of the company's long term plan to improve upon its exceptional HSE performance.
AquaTerra Director, Pete Robinson, commented: "Dropped objects have the potential to cause considerable damage to the structure itself, to plant and equipment, and to environment, through consequential spillage or loss of containment."
"The nature of our business is work at height safety, providing personnel to work at height and training others to work at height safely. Membership of DROPS will allow us to learn from the membership's substantial expertise and experience and provide us with the opportunity to feed our expertise back into the DROPS knowledge bank."
