ABS Approval for AquaTerra

August 9th, 2011

AquaTerra Solutions is now approved by the American Bureau of Shipping to conduct inspection work on vessels, having met their requirements.

ABS auditors carried out a thorough inspection of AquaTerra's procedures, training programs and work records without remark. This enabled AquaTerra to be awarded this new certification of approval.

AquaTerra Managing Director, Pete Robinson, comments: "The ABS approval supports our existing accreditations and certifications and this approval is another milestone for AquaTerra as we intend to progress our service capabilities for vessel inspection works."

The maritime industry has long recognised that periodic surveys/inspections are the primary means for ensuring that a vessel's structure is maintained within applicable requirements throughout its operational life.

The American Bureau of Shipping has established a guide to address the issue of suitable access for inspection works.
